Paid Platform Updates: July 2026

Reels translation, Meta’s next creative tools and Google AI Max preparation. Three practical priorities for July’s paid media review.

July’s paid media review is about preparing for change with clear commercial priorities. New creative options deserve testing, while existing campaigns need reliable inputs and accurate timelines.

Here are three developments to bring into your performance marketing campaigns.

Instagram: More Languages for Reels Translation

What’s New: On 14 July, Meta expanded Instagram Reels translation to French, German, Italian, Japanese and Korean. Read Meta’s update.

→ Take Action: Identify an existing video that explains your product or service clearly. If your account supports translation, test it for an audience your business can already serve.

Check names, technical terms, product claims and tone with someone fluent in the target language. Review the destination page too. A translated video followed by confusing delivery information or an unsuitable offer creates a weak customer experience.

Translation can support discovery. Validate how it fits your organic and paid activity before assuming the translated version can be used in every advertising placement.

Meta: Muse Image Is Heading Towards Advertising Creative

What’s New: Meta launched Muse Image in July and announced that advertisers would gain access through Advantage+ creative in the following weeks. Availability should be checked within the account before planning a test. Read Meta’s announcement.

→ Take Action: Prepare a small, controlled creative brief. Specify what must remain accurate, which changes are allowed and how each variation will be assessed.

For ecommerce digital marketing, that might mean preserving the real product while testing different settings. For a service business, it might mean exploring visual concepts without implying that an invented scene shows a real customer or result.

Judge the output against your brand and the response it earns. More assets alone do not establish better performance.

Google: Separate the AI Max Migration Timelines

What’s New: Google’s June clarification moved the automatic Dynamic Search Ads upgrade to February 2027. The September 2026 timetable remained for automatically created assets and the campaign-level broad match setting. Read Google’s updated announcement.

→ Take Action: Check which legacy settings your campaigns actually use before deciding what needs attention.

Review conversion tracking, eligible landing pages and available URL or brand controls. Record the current position before testing changes, then assess qualified conversions and value alongside traffic.

This is preparation for an announced transition, rather than a new July launch. Accurate account checks are more useful than rushing every Search campaign through the same change.

Our Take

A strong digital campaign strategy gives automation useful inputs and clear boundaries. Align the creative promise, landing page and measurement before adding scale.
